Hinges

Hinges
Hinges and specifically furniture hinges are a part of furniture hardware that we have been manufacturing and selling to the furniture industry since the early 1950s. Over the past 65+ years, we have built up a large collection of classic, country, modern and industrial hinges. Among the hinges are also spears and pivots for furniture.
The hinges can be found on the online store in iron with a finish black, rust color, tin color, antique white and antique gray. There is also a large assortment of hinges made of solid brass in bronze antique, brass polish and nickel. Iron hinges with a bronze antique, brass polish or nickel finish can also be found which are stronger, but less suitable for outdoor or wet areas.
Furniture hinges
For many different doors, there are also many different hinges. Some hinges are concealed so well in the furniture that only a small sling can be seen on the outside. However, it is often precisely the intention that a hinge should add something to the appearance.
With country furniture, rust-colored, gray or black hinges are often mounted on the cabinet. These rural hinges are therefore completely in sight.
And in classic furniture and interiors, many classic hinges are used with an ornamental head. We have many more hinges than can be found on the site. If you are looking for a hinge that is not on the site, please contact us by email. Preferably with a photo and dimensions so we can see if we can supply this hinge.
Hinges
Hinges are hinges that are easily removable. A hinge has a fixed part on the style of the furniture with a pin. The other part that is mounted on the door can be hung directly on the pin. This makes it easy to lift the door up and hang it down. Hinges are available on the site in two versions:
- Paumelles with two (or three) pins that can be screwed or hammered directly into a hole in the wood. These are relatively easy to install because only holes need to be drilled. These hinges are also known as drill-in hinges or drill-in hinges.
- Hinges with a bled on both sides that are milled into the wood and screwed in as a standard hinge. These hinges are more stable because they cannot rotate. However, mounting is the same as a standard hinge.
Spearheads
Spearheads have been used in interior design and furniture construction for many centuries. In ancient times, wooden dowels were already used on doors. Often turning in a stone with a hole in it. In furniture construction and interior design, the speun has long been less used and underappreciated. However, a speun is a beautiful, blind system that can also be found again in modern houses as a pivot hinge. A wide range of furniture speun hinges can be found in our online store.
